I have always had a fascination with architecture and urban sketching. I'm always observing, looking up and noticing details that are often missed as we walk busily along a street. I lived in London for 30 years and love the diversity of structure, the new and the old and the juxtaposition of different styles from different eras. Sometimes what we leave out in a painting is as important as what we include.I like to start with the skyline and horizon and work my way around a sketch.
